Playing games, watching videos, using the Internet...teachers in the 21st Century have many tools to engage students. It isn't always easy to distinguish between engaging students and entertaining them, especially since students who are engaged, challenged and working collaboratively are often having a great time!

Teachers bemoan students' inability (or unwillingness) to cite their sources. But in the 21st Century, collaborative methods of gathering and creating information, along with the ever-increasing ability of private citizens to contribute informally to the global pool of knowledge, give educators good reason to reexamine, and perhaps even rethink, traditional definitions of attribution, citation, and plagiarism.
